Milton First Responders Foundation
Since it’s formation in 2015, Milton First Responders Foundation has been very active in the community - hosting and participating in a number of events to help raise awareness of the MFRF’s mission and creating a community wide support network for our First Responders. Beach Bash at Bell (June 24, 2017)
Thanks to everyone who came out to this year’s Beach Bash at Milton's Bell Memorial Park! We hope everyone enjoyed the food, drinks, vendors, and beach games and the awesome concert by A1A, the official and original Jimmy Buffet tribute show!!
Fundraiser at Fry’s Electronics (May 19 & 20, 2017)
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported MFRF! Fun seemed to be had by all!
Your donations & purchases of hot dogs and other refreshments helped us to get closer to
our yearly goal and it was great to see the community interaction between you and some of
the nicest guys and gals from the Milton Fire & Police departments!
Book Signing - April 11, 2017
Thank you to everyone who joined us at Urban Farmhouse, as we celebrated a one-of-a-kind book
launch! A Novel Idea: A Bite of Crabapple Scavenger Hunt with Karen White encouraged voracious
readers to take part of this special event, which celebrates the release of White’s 23rd book,
“The Night the Lights Went Out,” and benefitted the Milton First Responders Foundation (MFRF).
Participants enjoyed a scavenger hunt-style adventure, which began and ended at Urban Farmhouse
(located at the crossroads in downtown Crabapple), were eligible for great prizes and received a signed copy of “The Night the Lights Went Out”. A portion of each ticket sold was donated to the Milton First Responders Foundation.
October 18, 2016 ~ Second Annual Golf Tournament
What a glorious day for golf and celebrating our Milton First Responders!
Thanks to all our Sponsors, Players and Volunteers for coming out to
support our fundraising efforts. The results are in and we raised
approximately $25,000…. $10,000 over our 2015 net profit! Our 2016 field
increased to 118 registered players, including 24 First Responders who
played for FREE due to the generous sponsorship from several local
businesses and individual citizens.

July 11, 2016 ~ Fire vs. Police Softball Game & Family Fun Day
We had a great time on Saturday, June 11, hosting our first Fire vs. Police Softball Game and Family Fun Day out at beautiful Bell Memorial Park. The bats were hot and so were the temps but everyone enjoyed the day in spite of the heat.

May 13 & 14, 2016 – Fry’s Electronics
Beautiful weather for our two-day fundraiser at Fry’s, grilling hot dogs and hanging out with Milton Fire & Police…some of the nicest guys and gals you’ll ever meet! And, you know it’s a fun event when Mayor Joe Lockwood shows up on his motorcycle and George W. Bush stops by!
We raised a little over $900 over the 8 hours we were open for business on Friday and Saturday. That’s a lot of 25 cent hot dogs, chips and cold drinks and many generous donations!
Thanks to Fry’s for inviting us to participate, to their staff for all their help, to everyone who stopped by to support our first responders, to our volunteers (Stacey Englis, Leanne Robinson, Robyn Pinto and Jan Fowler) and especially to our awesome Milton Police Officers and Firefighters who manned the grills.

May 7, 2016 – Truck Pull
We had a lot of fun hosting our first ever Fire Truck Pull at last
weekend’s Milton Hometown Jubilee. Thanks to everyone who
participated, volunteered and just stopped to watch. In
addition to having some fun, we raised a little over $500 for our
Fallen Firefighters Fund! Thank you to the City of Milton for

April 16, 2016 – Scottsdale Farms
Thanks to everyone that came out on Saturday to visit with the Milton
Firefighters and Police Officers. It was a beautiful afternoon, as young
and old enjoyed hanging out, tossing a football, climbing in the firetruck
and of course meeting our awesome K-9 Kyro! Thanks to Scottsdale
Farms for inviting us and donating $250.00 plus the beautiful plant
basket for our raffle, which was won by Milton Firefighter Greg Foster!
February 3, 2016 – MFRF Night at Olde Blind Dog
Thanks to everyone who came out on a rainy Tuesday evening to support
Milton First Responders! The place was packed and everyone enjoyed
some great food and fun for a great cause. We reached our goal and raised
enough money to fund four bikes for our Fire and Police Departments, thanks
to a VERY generous $6,000 donation from the William B. Orkin Foundation!
Special thanks to Ron Wallace, Joe Creamer and the entire staff at OBD
for sponsoring such a wonderful evening for us!

October 27, 2015 ~ Rise Up and Wilbur & Rudy’s Fundraisers
What an awesome program and groups of kids! Every child was given $1 at
the beginning of this project and they were asked to creatively multiply this
dollar during a 1-month period. All the money they raised was donated to
MFRF for a special fund designated for the Patrol Bike Fund. Our goal is to
raise the money necessary to provide 2 patrol bikes for the Police Department
and two for the Fire Department with all the necessary equipment. Today’s
donation of over $800 is a great start!!! Thanks Rise Up Kids!
Wilbur & Rudy’s Farmtable collected donations and designated a percentage
of sales to MFRF and presented MFRF with a $600 donation! We greatly
appreciate the support we received from the Milton Community which will
directly benefit both the Milton Police and Milton Fire-Rescue Departments.
Thanks to MFRF Board Member Loreto Hernalsteen for coordinating these
events with The Rise Up Team at Crabapple Middle School and Wilbur &
October 16, 2016 – Wilbur & Rudy’s
Another beautiful afternoon hanging out with so many Milton neighbors.
The kids (and adults) had a ball visiting with the police officers, firefighters
and of course our Milton K-9, Kyro. Thanks so much to our friends at
Wilbur and Rudy’s Farmtable for having us out and supporting MFRF
in such a meaningful way! Wilbur and Rudy’s donated 100% of their sales
to MFRF to support our fire and police departments!
September 26, 2015 ~ Scottsdale Farms
The dreary day didn’t dampen the spirits of those who came out to enjoy
opening day at the Scottsdale Farms Pumpkin Patch. Milton Engine Co. 43
rolled in from their station around the corner and Off. Gray and Kryo were
there to meet and greet as well. Milton Police Chief Steven Krokoff even
stopped by to mingle with Milton citizens.

September 11, 2015 ~ Remembering 9/11 First Responders & Victims
Milton High School students and volunteers set 2,996 US flags each tagged
with the names of the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks. This was
the 8th year for their tribute.
MFRF Board Members made special deliveries to all the MFD fire stations
as well as MPD at City Hall on 9/11 to thank them for their service to our
community. Robyn Pinto made a double batch of homemade brownies;
Loreto Hernalsteen dropped off cakes at a fire station and MPD offices;
Claudine Wilkins delivered a Nothing Bundt Cake to a fourth station; and
Jan Fowler delivering chicken wings and sides to Station 41.
Kudos to our friends at Crabapple Kroger for delivering a HUGE box of treats,
fruit, water and a balloon to MFD Sta. 41 on in honor of their service on 9/11.

August 31, 2015 ~ First Annual Golf Tournament
What a wonderful day! The weather was perfect and we had a great time at The Manor Golf and Country Club supporting the Milton Fire And Police Departments!
